Office Meeting Food Ideas for Breakfast, Lunch and Merienda
Not sure what to serve at an early meeting, a working lunch or an afternoon session? Start with the way your meeting will actually run—when people will eat, how much time they have and whether everyone will pause or continue working.
Explore practical Jojie’s menu ideas using familiar Filipino breakfasts, ready-to-share food trays and suggested combinations for teams, workshops, executives and clients.
Begin with the schedule
Start with the time of day
A full rice breakfast may be welcome before a whole-day seminar, but too heavy for a short executive huddle. Pancit and lumpia can make a satisfying merienda when a workshop continues into the evening, but unnecessary when lunch ended only an hour ago.
Before 9:00 a.m.
Give the group a proper start with a packed Filipino breakfast when the morning will be long.

Filipino breakfast ideas for the way the morning will run
Rather than copying the whole breakfast menu here, these are useful starting points according to meeting length, appetite and room setup.
For a full morning of training or work
Choose a familiar rice breakfast when people arrive early and need a meal that carries them until lunch.
Each breakfast comes with rice, your chosen protein, and egg, packed individually so it is easy to distribute before the meeting begins.
For a shorter boardroom or client meeting
A lighter breakfast may feel more appropriate when lunch is near or the group will remain around one meeting table.
Bread-based choices are generally easier around meeting materials than open shared dishes.
For internal teams that enjoy traditional flavours
These can be satisfying choices for teams whose preferences are already familiar. For external executives or visitors in a small closed room, milder and less aromatic choices may be easier.

Our practical opinion
A true working lunch should not compete with the meeting
When discussion continues, the food should be easy to identify, hand out and clear. Individually packed meals are usually the cleanest direction because there is no serving line and no need to pass shared dishes around laptops, reports and cables.

Merienda ideas for meetings and workshops
A very light snack can feel disappointing when the workshop runs until 7:00 p.m. A heavy tray of food can be unnecessary when lunch ended recently and everyone is leaving at 4:00 p.m.
Light merienda for about 12
Pancit, fresh lumpia and chicken fingers
- Pancit Bihon for 10–12 — ₱860
- Fresh Lumpiang Gulay, 12 pieces — ₱520
- Medium Chicken Fingers — ₱460
Pancit gives the break a familiar centre, fresh lumpia adds vegetables and chicken fingers are easy to enjoy.
Use a serving table; noodles and fresh lumpia are not ideal directly beside laptops.
Filling merienda for about 20
Pancit, lumpia and homemade meatloaf
- Pancit Canton for 22–25 — ₱1,400
- Lumpiang Shanghai, 40 pieces — ₱490
- Homemade Meatloaf, 2 loaves — ₱740
This is more substantial for a workshop that continues into the evening. Lumpia is easy to distribute and the meatloaf can be sliced into manageable portions.
Other Jojie’s merienda ideas
For a very short break, favour pieces that can be portioned before people enter the food area. For a longer social break, noodles or pasta can become the centre of the spread.
Conference rooms and desks
What to serve when there is no pantry or dining area
A conference room may have enough chairs for the meeting but nowhere to build a buffet line. When people will eat around laptops, documents and power cables, simplify the food rather than forcing a generous menu into an uncomfortable setup.
| Food direction | Works beside laptops? | Needs a serving table? | Good for a short break? | Our practical view |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Pancit or pasta trays | No | Yes | Only when pre-portioned | Better for a real break than active desk work. |
| Fresh lumpia | No | Yes | Moderate | Delicate and sauced; give it proper serving space. |

Food trays may be enough when
Your office can manage the meal after delivery
- A serving table is available
- Plates and utensils are prepared
- Someone will portion and replenish
- Guests have time to move around
- Clearing and waste are assigned
Full catering may be better when
Hospitality and coordinated service are part of the event
- You need a buffet display
- Tables, linens or dinnerware are required
- Service staff are needed
- Setup and collection should be coordinated
- The event includes important clients or executives
Office meeting food questions
Choosing food for the meeting
What is the easiest food to serve during a working meeting?
Individually packed meals are usually easiest because each person receives one prepared portion and there is no shared serving line. They are especially useful around laptops or during a short break.
What should we serve at an early office meeting?
Choose a full Filipino breakfast when the group begins a long morning or has not eaten. For a shorter executive or client meeting, a lighter bread-based breakfast may feel more appropriate.
Can food trays work for an office meeting?
Yes. Food trays work best when there is a separate serving table, at least 30 minutes to eat and people assigned to arrange, serve and clear the food.
What is a good office merienda?
For a light break, consider pancit with fresh lumpia or chicken fingers. For a longer workshop that ends late, add a more substantial protein such as lumpia, meatloaf or mini pork barbecue.
What food works best around laptops?
Individually packed meals and bread-based breakfasts are usually easier. Avoid placing saucy viands, noodles and open shared trays directly on a table filled with devices and documents.
What should we serve clients or executives?
Choose food that is easy to serve and feels considered. Lengua, salpicao, grilled blue marlin, roast dishes or a coordinated catering menu can work well when the room and schedule support proper dining.
How many dishes should we order for a team lunch?
The answer depends on group size, appetite and whether rice or noodles are included. For many office lunches, two main dishes, one vegetable dish and rice or noodles provide a useful starting point.
Can Jojie’s help us create a custom menu?
Yes. Tell us your date, headcount, budget, meeting time, room setup and preferred dishes. We can help you mix and match food trays or discuss a packed-meal or corporate-catering arrangement.
